"Stirling and his team at Forte Maritime contracted by P&O Maritime on a consultancy basis from June 2011 until August 2012 and then on ad hoc project basis since.
The main role was Operations Management for the Cable Layer European Supporter being a 9000 GT DP2 multipurpose support vessel. The responsibilities were completing the conversion from Coastal Protection Vessel to Offshore Energy cable laying vessel and then subsequent conversion to Seismic Survey Vessel.
In addition to the engineering and conversion works responsibilities included crew management, operations and safety management on a permanent daily basis and working with the commercial department for securing contracts.

Stirling’s supervision and management of docking and conversion works is second to none which utilised his technical knowledge, dockyard management, project organisation and cost control.
He has also demonstrated refined troubleshooting skills and technical reporting and Stirling is my first call when requiring a technical project solution when we need external support.

"We contracted Forte Maritime to manage vessel upgrades and drydockings in the Bahamas for two Torm tankers.

At relatively short notice Forte Maritime was fully appraised of our requirements and onsite in readiness for the first vessel.

Forte Maritime and in particular Stirling managed the upgrades and all finances, He interfaced with with Torm’s Copenhagen and Mumbai offices ensuring the vessels left on time for their onward voyages to the US coast.
