Forte Maritime have managed a long term technical management contract. Client assistance was supplied to all areas of technical management including budget development and management, crew development and many other aspects. Overall objectives was to ensure good operational practices were utilised and the new crews had a good understanding of the operational requirements and a comprehensive involvement and ownership in all operational aspects.
The original work scope expanded and developed further to incorporate a life extension review and furture requirements on three vessels.
This involved a detailed study and review of the overall operation, manning levels, existing support systems and all vessel systems. During the review of the vessels and their systems all maintenance history, docking records, actual hull & machinery condition was considered. Furthermore future operational requirements along with maintainability of existing equipment was also taken into consideration.
This process evolved into a summary and detailed report, which included all recommendations and other major aspects such as upgrade time, maintainability and detailed cost proposals. The final package was duly presented to the Senior Management Team for their consideration.
